We receive many laptops every day and these simple steps below will help you get it to us safe and sound... .
1. First CALL US on 0131 225 4131 for a Repair Ticket Number.
2. When packing your laptop, please use at least a 2" air gap between the laptop and the box (ie: bubble wrap, pre-molded foam, or similar).
3. Include one battery and the power adapter in the box. Also, place the adapter at the side of the laptop (not on top), where it might press down and damage the screen. Include the Original Equipment Manufacturing CD’s so we have access to all relevant software. Also, include your name, address, and telephone number on a note with your laptop, brief details of the problem, and your Repair Ticket Number.
4. On the outside of the box cover up all previous markings on the shipping box and tape our address, as well as your return address securely to the package with clear packing tape. In bold lettering write “Handle with Care”.
5. Sercurely tape or bind the box/container.
7. You can choose to use The Royal Mail service or a local courier. We advise The Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day service as it is quick, you can check an items progress using Track and Trace online at www.royalmail.com or phone 08459272 100, and more importantly you can insure your item for a small charge against potential loss or damage. Just take your item to your local Post Office. If you can't make it to your local post office or have any questions you can phone Royal Mail Customer Service on 0845 7740 740.
